Free availability poll for groups
Overlap is a free availability poll with no trial to expire and no features held back. Share one link, everyone marks when they’re free, and the time that works for the group goes into everyone’s calendar.
What free means here
No card to enter. There is no payment page and no trial period. You use it, it works, and nothing ever asks for a credit card.
No paid tier. This is not a freemium service where the useful features are behind a paywall. Everything the product does is available to everyone.
No account required. Not even a free one. Creating a poll asks for a title and dates. Answering one asks for a name. That’s it.
Create a poll nowFree. No sign-up. Takes a minute.
How it works
- Create the poll. Name your event, choose the date range and hours. Get a link instantly.
- Share the link. Everyone opens it and paints when they’re free on a shared grid. Works on any device, no account needed.
- Pick the time. The app shows which times the most people can make. Choose one and the calendar invitation goes out with a Meet link.
Why other "free" tools aren’t
Many scheduling tools advertise as free but have limits that make them unusable without paying:
- Free trials that expire. The tool works for 14 days, then you hit a paywall. That’s not free, that’s a demo.
- Participant limits. Free for 3 people, $15/month for more. If you need more than 3 people, it’s not free.
- Feature gates. Calendar invitations, reminders, or removing ads are paid features. The poll is free but finishing the job costs money.
Overlap has none of these. It does one thing — poll availability and send the invitation — and it does it for free, for everyone, forever.
What you get with a free Overlap poll
- Unlimited participants
- Automatic timezone conversion for everyone
- Visual heatmap showing when the most people can make it
- Calendar invitation with a Google Meet link
- No advertising
- No account for anyone — organiser or participants
When to use a free poll vs a group chat
Use a poll when asking in the chat would mean everyone reading and comparing five or more replies. A thread works for "Wednesday or Thursday?" and breaks down at "any afternoon next week". A poll collects all the answers in one grid and does the comparison for you.
Compared to other free availability tools
When2meet and several others are also free and require no account. The difference is what happens after the group picks a time: they show you the results and stop. Overlap sends the calendar invitation so the job is done.
