A free Crab Fit alternative, with no accounts
Overlap does what you came to Crab Fit for — one link, everyone marks when they are free, best time wins — and then puts that time in everyone’s calendar. Nobody signs up for anything.
The difference is what happens after the group agrees. Overlap turns the winning time into a real calendar invitation, sent from the organiser's own calendar with a Meet link, so nobody has to copy the time into a chat and hope.

Crab Fit details checked on 2026-10-19 against their own site. Overlap’s column is checkable against the source. If anything here has gone out of date, tell us and it gets fixed.
- The event page asks for your name and an optional password, and says those details are only for this event, so other people cannot change your availability. There is no site-wide account. ↩
- The form on the homepage asks for an event name, dates, a time range, and a time zone. It does not ask you to sign up. The how-to is the same three steps: create the event, enter availability, send the link. ↩
- You click and drag the dates and times. The homepage and the how-to both describe a live heat-map, and the how-to says to choose the darkest area and hover a slot to see who is free. ↩
- The how-to ends by copying the chosen time. Sharing is the event link, or an email that asks people to open it. The privacy policy mentions Google Calendar sync only as what the Android app uses Google Play Services for. The site does not say Crab Fit emails a calendar invitation. ↩
- The homepage, how-to, privacy policy, and event page showed no advertising on 19 October 2026. The privacy policy names Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Play Services. It does not mention an ad network. ↩
- The privacy policy says the service is provided at no cost. The homepage asks for an optional Ko-fi donation so Crab Fit can stay free, and says events are deleted after 3 months of inactivity. ↩
When Crab Fit is the better answer
You want an open-source heat-map, a password that exists only for one person's availability on one event, and you are happy copying the winning time out yourself. The homepage says the code is open source.
Why people go looking
The how-to stops once the darkest slot can be copied. Nothing on the site sends the calendar invitation, and events are deleted after 3 months of inactivity.
What Overlap does with your data
Giving an email address is optional, and an address is only ever used to put you on one calendar invitation. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking. Everything about an event is deleted automatically 365 days after it is created — see the privacy policy, which names every company that receives anything.
Try it against your next actual meeting
The honest test is a real group, not a demo. Create an event, paste the link in the group chat, and see whether it is less work than what you did last time. If it is not, Crab Fit is still there.
