A free WhenIsGood alternative, with no accounts

Overlap does what you came to WhenIsGood for — one link, everyone marks when they are free, best time wins — and then puts that time in everyone’s calendar. Nobody signs up for anything.

The difference is what happens after the group agrees. Overlap turns the winning time into a real calendar invitation, sent from the organiser's own calendar with a Meet link, so nobody has to copy the time into a chat and hope.

WhenIsGood details checked on 2026-10-19 against their own site. Overlap’s column is checkable against the source. If anything here has gone out of date, tell us and it gets fixed.

  1. Someone who was sent a link paints the proposed times, types a name, and presses send response. The FAQ says the system can be used anonymously. An account stores update links on a dashboard; it is not required to answer. ↩
  2. The FAQ answers "Do I need an account or a password?" with no: everything works without an account. The homepage says there is no sign-up form. An account is optional — an email address and a six-digit code — and the login page also offers a password if you already have one. Without an account you keep a results code. ↩
  3. You click a grid of the times you can do, and invitees paint the ones that work for them. The FAQ says times everyone can make show in green, with markers for the near misses. ↩
  4. The FAQ says clicking a time on the results grid gives an iCal (.ics) link you open in a calendar app or attach to an email yourself. WhenIsGood does not send that invitation. The same answer says the organiser is the one who lets everyone know. ↩
  5. The FAQ answers "Does it cost anything?" with: no, everything on WhenIsGood is free, with no adverts. ↩
  6. Same sentence as the advertising row. There is no paid tier on the FAQ, the homepage, or the account page. ↩

When WhenIsGood is the better answer

You want email alerts when someone responds, a dashboard for many events, and an .ics file you attach yourself. The account, if you want one, is an emailed code rather than a password you invent.

Why people go looking

After the group has answered, the FAQ says the organiser lets everyone know. Exporting an .ics and attaching it is still your job, and the grid starts at 8am to 6pm until you open the options.

What Overlap does with your data

Giving an email address is optional, and an address is only ever used to put you on one calendar invitation. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking. Everything about an event is deleted automatically 365 days after it is created — see the privacy policy, which names every company that receives anything.

Try it against your next actual meeting

The honest test is a real group, not a demo. Create an event, paste the link in the group chat, and see whether it is less work than what you did last time. If it is not, WhenIsGood is still there.
